INFODEF, Institute for the Promotion of Development and Training, is a private and independent centre for Research, Development and Innovation whose mission is to design and carry out projects that contribute to achieve a sustainable and inclusive development through education, culture and innovation. The centre designs and develops innovative tools, methodologies, products and services that respond to current social and economic challenges and enable to anticipate and drive the changes needed to achieve future goals and objectives in society.

 

INFODEF supports the modernization of educational systems and the pedagogical innovativeness of public and private educational institutions at national and European levels. Has large expertise developing innovative teaching and learning methodologies, tools and resources and has extensibility work on the definition of EQF and ECVET based Training Curriculums and Learning Outcomes, the design of new tools for the identification, assessment and validation of basic, key, transversal and professional competencies, the development of innovative digital tools and micro-credentialing, the design of methodologies to support Work-Based-Learning programmes and practices, new instruments for the recognition and validation of non-formal and informal learning, innovative teaching methods, entrepreneurship education, especial education and the evaluation and quality assessment of educational programmes.

Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek

The Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek operates within Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, one of Croatia’s most prestigious universities. The Faculty specialises in agricultural sciences, agrobiotechnology, and environmental sustainability. As a recognised research and innovation hub, it has extensive expertise in precision farming, sustainable food production, and climate-resilient agricultural practices, integrating scientific advancements into vocational training and higher education. With a strong multidisciplinary research approach, the university collaborates with academia, industry, and policymakers to modernise agricultural education.

 

The university is deeply involved in applied research and capacity-building initiatives, ensuring that its findings contribute to the development of effective and scalable training solutions for vocational education and training (VET) institutions.

As a leader in business innovation, The Gambia Startup Chamber of Commerce enhances the visibility, dissemination, and sustainability of vocational training, ensuring that AGREEN GAMBIA’s impact extends beyond the project’s duration.

Ministry of Youth and Sport (MOYS)

The Gambia

The Gambia Songhai Initiative (GSI) under the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MOYS) aims at training youth, women, migrant returnees and those that are marginalized on smart integrated farming techniques in order to gain employment and sustainable livelihood. Its main objectives include: to provide agriculture livelihood skills to create employment especially rural youth; to curb rural urban/irregular migration; to increase food security agricultural productivity; to promote agribusiness entrepreneur; to reduce poverty; to promote efficient land and water management. Committed to sustainability, gender equity, and employability, it ensures curriculum reform, teacher training, and industry relevance in vocational education. The Ministry of Youth and Sport plays a pivotal role in policy integration, capacity building, and the expansion of TVET access, particularly for youth and women in rural areas, aligning education with climate-smart agriculture and national development priorities to foster economic growth and resilience.

The Gambia College

The Gambia

The Gambia College (GC) is a higher education institution responsible for the training of teachers, agricultural extension officers, and public and environmental health practitioners. Recently transformed into a University of Education, The Gambia College’s core mandate is to build the country’s middle-level human resources in the fields of agriculture, education, and health. The institution provides training in modern, appropriate, and climate-smart agricultural practices that promote self-reliance and sustainable livelihoods. Its graduates serve in the Ministry of Agriculture as extension workers in both crop and livestock production, and as agricultural education teachers in communities across the country, helping to make agriculture more attractive and relevant to educated youth. In addition to its academic programs, the Gambia College actively engages in community outreach initiatives aimed at raising awareness and promoting the adoption of climate-friendly agricultural practices.
